In The Media & Newsletter » UKIP standing up for our much needed NHS
To The Editor,
So your correspondent John Knight says that UKIP has 'tapped into peoples' fears and concerns' does he?
He then goes on to compare Enoch Powell's speech 50 years ago to UKIP leader Nigel Farage's own 'philosophy' on EU migrants, as well as claiming UKIP would like to privatise the NHS - this, of course, is an often repeated Labour Party lie, which Mr Farage only last week had to yet again refute in the national media.
It's very tiring to hear our opponents' rantings but we are used to it and while we are trying to explain our own policies to the public we do have to spend so much energy arguing back against lies and misrepresentations.
If Mr Knight would like to know more about UKIP and the NHS he can always read about and listen to our health spokesman Louise Bours MEP on the topic - there is a link here for example - http://wwwukip.org/louise_bours_standing_up_for_the_nhs
People do have fears and concerns Mr Knight and it is up to UKIP not to tap into them but to try to unravel the mess successive LibLabCon governments have led us into by explaining how our commonsense policies can breathe new life into the British economy and indeed our much-needed NHS.
