In The Media & Newsletter » Turn on the lights
To The Editor,
I do hope the people of Lincolnshire support the Mayor of Skegness Danny Brookes in his quest to get street lights switched back on.
The petition, set up earlier this year, is back in circulation, following two sex attacks in Skegness.
More than 3.500 people have already signed the petition to make the county safer.
We all know savings have to be made but switching off the street lights is a backwards step and more importantly is increasing crime.
We live in a 24-hour world - it is ridiculous to plunge the county into darkness.
