In The Media & Newsletter » The county's UKIP MEP has called on the public to get out and vote for the party's leader in Boston and Skegness
Margot Parker, MEP for Lincolnshire and the party's Women's and Equalities spokesperson, congratulated Paul Nuttall, who has been chosen to stand in the forthcoming General Election in Boston and Skegness.
Margot said: "Mr Nuttall is UKIP leader and is a fantastic candidate for the Boston and Skegness constituency He is in touch with people and will fight on local issues which affect communities.
"UKIP fielding such a high-profile candidate illustrates how we have the same values and aims of people in those areas.
"Boston had the highest 'Leave' vote in the country in last year's referendum and, as UKIP will be the watchdog for Brexit, it makes sense for our leader to stand there."
In The 2015 General Election UKIP came second with 33.8 per cent of the vote.
