MARGOT Parker MEP has reacted to the latest announcement over children's services at Pilgrim Hospital in Boston.
Health bosses have managed to push back the deadline to deal with a staffing crisis st the hospital.
At a recent meeting, it was revealed the recruitment of new doctors would push the deadline for a decision back to the end of July.
Mrs Parker, MEP for Boston, said: "This is temporarily good news and the new medical school in Lincoln. in partnership with the city's universit.y is something to be applauded long-term.
"But campaigners are right when they call for clear answers about the long-term future of the Pilgrim Hospital and the valuable services it offers."
On a wider point, Mrs Parker said the national funding problem in the NHS must be solved and a cross-party think-tank set up to tackle the issues.
