So, Lincolnshire residents can have their street lights switched back on - as long as they pay for it.

You couldn't make it up!

Householders must wonder what they pay their council tax bill for.

We all know savings had to be made but switching off the street lights was a backwards step and more importantly is increasing crime and the fear of crime.

We live in a 24-hour world, switching of the lights and then asking residents to pay more to have them switched back on is absurd.
