We have seen much written and said about the decision by Nissan not to begin production of a new model of car in Sunderland.
Naturally, Brexit was blamed, (despite there being much more complex reasons involved, including the fall in demand for diesel cars due to the EU's tough new emissions rulings).
What we have not seen so much of though is the decision by Toyota to start major production on the Corolla at Burnaston, particularly in many areas of the national media.
This is fantastic news and something we should take pride in.
Let us have faith in the wonderful entrepreneurs and business people we have by investing in our country and in its people.
The EU model is failing - just look at Germany which is now skirting with recession.
Brexit offers us a fantastic opportunity - so let's get on with what the British people voted for and embrace it.
