In The Media & Newsletter » Margot Parker MEP - sign the petition to get at least some of the street lights switched back on
To the Editor,
I do hope the people of Lincolnshire sign the petition to get at least some of the street lights switched back on.
We all know savings have to be made but switching off the street lights is a backwards step and more importantly is increasing crime.
We live in a 24-hour world - it is ridiculous to plunge the county into darkness. It increases the fear of crime and stops many people going about their business.
Local residents, businesses and organisations have until Friday, (January 5), to complete a questionnaire on the impact of the current part-night street lighting.
The survey can be found here - www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/streetlighting
