MARGOT Parker MEP has praised the work of The Pelican Trust after paying a visit to its centre in Lincoln.
The Lincolnshire MEP visited the centre in Crofton Road for a coffee morning and saw the work and training it carries out.
The Trust was established in 1989 and provides high quality training and work experience in a supportive environment.
It caters for people who wish to work after a period of illness or any other reason which has left them lacking in confidence.
Mrs Parker said: "It was an privilege to meet the people at centre and those it helps. This type of work is invaluable in our communities.
"I was impressed with the training and advice the Trust carries out in creating opportunities for so many people, from encouraging people to learn, to providing skills and promoting confidence."
She urged anyone who would like to find out more about the work which goes on at the centre to contact the Trust on 01522 513 533.
