To The Editor,
Your piece about a former soldier who spoke out about the demons which haunted him was very moving.
Rob Dennison, 36, from Saxilby, saw action in Afghanistan and is now preparing to cycle 1,000 miles to raise awareness of mental health among veterans.
He served in the Royal Logistics Corps and said he would regularly binge drink five pints of vodka in a session after he left the Army.
He and veterans Gav Corlos and Andy Price are now about to set off on a 1,000-mile bike tour of Britain, stopping off along the way to visit veterans, civilians and serving soldiers over a coffee to talk about their highs and lows and life in general.
Mental health issues is a topic which Prince Harry has raised and it is important the Government and indeed, of all us, do all we can to help these ex-servicemen - after all we owe them so much.
