In The Media & Newsletter » Margot Parker MEP on cuts to disabled transport scheme in Nottingham
I was concerned to read the city council is cutting parts of a scheme which provides disabled people with free bus travel.
The decision will mean those with disabilities will need to pay out of their own pockets to use public transport at peak times in the morning and late at night.
I am concerned this is adversely affecting equal opportunities and yet again those most in need are hit the hardest.
The council blames cuts in Government funding but those people at the sharp end do not want to hear who is to blame. They just want the service they are used to having, continuing.
