In The Media & Newsletter » Margot Parker MEP - Labour Party has betrayed its working class voters with its U-turn on the Single Market
To The Editor,
Once again, The Labour Party has betrayed its working class voters with its U-turn on the Single Market.
Jeremy Corbyn has shown either stupidity or duplicity on accepting the Single Market and has illustrated he simply cannot be trusted.
Membership of the Single Market would prevent Corbyn implementing key Labour policies, such as renationalisation of the railways.
During the election Labour campaigned to exit the Single Market when we leave the EU.
Now Labour voters can see betrayal staring them in the face.
For all the talk of Labour bringing change, this U-turn shows they cannot be trusted - it's if Tony Blair never went away.
Margot Parker, MEP for the East Midlands
