In The Media & Newsletter » Margot Parker MEP - interested to read in that North West Leicestershire MP Andrew Bridgen has called for Parliament's watchdog to investigate Jeremy Corbyn
I was interested to read that North West Leicestershire MP Andrew Bridgen has called for Parliament's watchdog to investigate Jeremy Corbyn for attending a ceremony where a wreath was laid in memory of some of those responsible for the 1972 Munich terror attack.
Mr Bridgen makes a valid point when he says he would like the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards, Kathryn Stone, to look into Mr Corbyn's trip to Tunisia in 2014 before he became Labour leader.
He said he failed to register the foreign trip as MPs are required to at the time and wants an investigation.
I also think Mr Bridgen is correct in saying Mr Corbyn's presence at the ceremony had caused damage to the reputation of the House of Commons.
I await the outcome of Mr Bidgen's complaint with interest.
