A huge endorsement of UKIP policies - that's the message from East Midlands MEP Margot Parker after the historic victory in Rochester and Strood.
Mark Reckless' stunning by-election victory - which gave UKIP its second MP after Douglas Carswell's ground-breaking win last month - was hailed as another huge step forward for the party and for Britain.
Margot was helping out with the campaign in Rochester and Strood and this week and was overwhelmed at the public's support.
Margot, UKIP's small business spokesman, said she found support from families struggling to pay their bills and who had concerns about the NHS, schools and immigration.
She said: "These issues are as relevant as ever. The support from the public, yet again, was overwhelming.
"People are tired of the dogma and tired of the same old parties and their excuses and back-biting. Yesterday's result is a huge plus as we now turn our attentions to next May."
