To The Editor,
I read with interest the police will send the 'rural beat vehicle' after a spate of burglaries and car crimes in Glenfield and the surrounding villages.
This will, I'm sure, be a relief to people living in those parishes.
Police force cuts have been a concern of mine for some months now – people are re-assured when they see beat police in their areas.
Not only will this help cut crime and deter would-be criminals but it also eases the fear of crime, allowing people to go about their business without the stress and worry of being targeted by criminals.
