Fight for Lincoln walk-in centre

To The Editor,

Dear Sir,

I would urge the residents of Lincoln to continue their spirited fight to keep open the city's only walk-in centre.

Proposals which would see the centre close is now open to public consultation and runs until Sunday, August 6.

Health bosses have pledged longer hours at other GP surgeries and improvements to the 111 service - but I live near a walk-in centre and I know how important and crucial they are in taking pressure off nearby doctors and hospitals.

Please do email to make your views known.

Thousands of people have hit out at the plans and an online petition has gained more than 4,000 signatures - let's keep this fight up.

Margot Parker, MEP for Lincolnshire.
