To The Editor,
As UKIP's Women's and Equalities spokesperson, I was most concerned when I read that The Acton FGM Community Clinic will be forced to close after March as it has lost its funding.
The clinic is a specialist service dedicated to help women who are suffering the mental and physical health consequences of Female Genital Mutilation.
I understand the clinic was set up in 2007 to provide a specialist service for women with FGM and has helped more than 1,000 women - many have "this service changed my life after suffering years of pain".
Indeed, the clinic has helped women from across the UK, not just Ealing area - I implore Ealing Council to look again this crucial funding issue.
You can sign an online petition to save the clinic at Save The Action FGM Community Clinic.
